We receive a lot of calls to replace rotted or cracked boards. Water, termites, insects, sun exposure, and other factors can cause wood to waste away, rot, or crack. Updated the front and rear entryway by removing the old walkways and railings. We installed a new bluestone front walk and a bluestone patio at the rear entry. We installed a hidden fastener composite rail system at both entryways along with a new column wrapped in pvc. The front and rear stairs were faced with a red brick and new bluestone treads were installed.
This house was scraped with carbide scrapers. Some carpentry was completed where rot had occurred. It was then primed with an oil based primer and top coated with latex paint.
We remodeled this formal dining room in this late 1800′s home. This home was an old school house that was turned into a home. The entire room was gutted with the exception of the douglas fir flooring. The built-in corner cabinet was carefully removed. New ceiling joists were sistered to the existing joists to strengthen the floor that was above this dining room. A new wall was built in front of the existing wall with the two windows and new energy efficient windows were installed in place of the old windows. New insulation and sheetrock were installed along with decorative moulding on the ceiling. Custom trim was milled from oak and installed around the windows. The old oak moulding was stripped and reinstalled throughout the room.
